Can I live in my Self Storage Unit?

25 Jan 2021

Things that cannot be stored in a Self-storage Unit

Can I just live in my Storage unit?

The idea of living in your self-storage unit is tempting, especially if you have to pay so much for your rent, then why not live in a storage unit instead? Can I just move into my storage unit and live there?

No, you can’t

Here’s why:
A Self-Storage Service is a service that provides you with storage unit or space for “storing things”, not for “living.” Moreover, there is not any bathroom, water supply or electrical outlet in the storage unit, therefore, it is not possible to live there.

Anyways, if you are caught living in a storage unit, you will be evicted and fined for misusing the storage units.
